Usually the clothing optional beaches are very family oriented. I would't suggest kids going by themselves unless accompanied by a parent. |

Yes, they are. Studies have shown that children raised in a nudist or naturist environment have a healthier attitude about their bodies and are less likely to have eating disorders or other body-image-related emotional problems. Nude beaches tend to be self-policing. People keep a close watch on the kids, so they may actually be safer there than on other beaches.
By the way, St. Martin's Orient Beach is the only officially designated public nude beach I know of in the Caribbean. Most of the others are private beaches owned by resorts such as the family-oriented Sorobon Beach Resort on Bonaire or the adults-only Hedonism resorts on Jamaica. |

Most resorts with clothing optional beaches are adult only resorts. It depends on where you go in the world because some places, like Europe for example have nudist beaches where the entire family can bare it all. |

I just got back from St. Martin...orient beach.
It is divided in two halves, one total nude, and the other top only...
Most of the kids stayed on the half that was topless only...and it wasn't a big deal. |

All the clothing optional beaches that I've been to in the United States have been very suitable for everyone on their good behavior from newborn to those approaching or surpassing the century mark. |

perverts like little kids and teenagers so im pretty sure they would go to a nude beach hoping a little naked kid or teen is running around

Depends on the age of the child I guess? I was in Martha's Vineyard and guess what grandma and grandpa grand kids and Mom and Dad all running around nude.. WEIRD and very inappropriate .. I apoligize it was bizzare..However in moderation no top ect - I think is not awful! |
