Are residents of the usa able to fight out of te us to cuba. So can you fly out of the us to cuba and if not, why not? To dumba**es told me that today and i didnt believe them. |

Yes, residents of the US can fly out of the US into Cuba. There are flights going to and from the US all the time.
Of course you will need a special travel license from the US government, but you can go straight from the US to Cuba...flights go from New York, from Miami, and other places. |

US residents can only fly direct from the US to Cuba if the have a licence from OFAC - see http://www.ustreas.gov/offices/enforcement/ofac/programs/cuba/cuba.shtml |

It is difficult to get the license needed to fly directly from the US. It is much easier to fly from another country.Canada, Cancun, Venezuela,Costa Rica.... You'll get the visa at the airport. It is a formality,about $25 if i remember correctly.
Be careful about what you bring back. If your bag gets searched and they find cuban products, US customs can arrest you. The fines can be $10,000. The Bush administration has been averaging 3,000 prosecutions annualy |
