It has happened before, but the common Cuban doesn't know, until you can escape

If they are there, they are authorized by the government ( for whatever reason ) and therefore, the governments treat them well ( otherwise they would not be allowed in the country )

The locals MUST follow the orders given by the government ( fidel and the party )

By the way, the word "party" sounds very ridiculous in english because of the other meaning . The comunist party is anything but something to be happy about

Oh, Tropical, don't believe everything you see in the links. I don't believe it either

By the way, anyone interested in links, today ( 7 October ) I read a very good one. Click on www.elnuevoherald.com, section Cuba, the article "No nos quieren a nosotros, pero sí nuestro dinero" written by a Cuban journalist who tried to travel to Cuba from Canada. After reading the article, somebody will still say that traveling to Cuba is not political, I know, but at least I have made my point

The Cuban regime doesn't give any publicity to that, but yes , there have been.

The locals must follow the orders of the Party and el comandante, which in this case is to be friends of them.
Since the government allows them, they have their reasons to do so.

Recently I knew that Huey Newton, Angela Davis and stokely Carmichael lived in Cuba , as guests of the regime, but that is something that you know AFTER you get out of Cuba.

You know, bailarin, for a while I have been observing you. You have very odd ideas, but now finally I understand.
We live in the embassy suites ? I never heard that until now.
But if you say so, that should be, of course

Good ! Now tell me, do you have superpowers ? Can you see through the walls ?
Can you leap over tall buildings in a single bound ?
I didn't know that.
Now, I imagine that bailarin is your secret personality and you fight the evil Cuban exiles

Dios es amor
I don't know today, but I understand that Huey newton, Angela Davis, and stokely Carmichael lived in Cuba.

They were there invited by the Cuban government. Honored guests. Well received and better treated. Looking for refuge from the hated USA empire

The locals OBEY the orders of fidel and its followers. No other option

Oh, Clinton really tried to make friends with fidel for some unknown reason. Looks like it didn't work. Maybe fidel wanted something that Clinton was not willing to give him.
It is curious how some people present the situation like the USA being the ones that don't want to be friends with fidel

Amazing to see how some people can have such a distorted idea of reality. I wonder where they get that erroneous information

Oh, dancer, so we live in the American embassy suites hotel in Habana. Amazing ! I just learned that there is a hotel there for us. Good !
Next time I go there I will request a reservation.

I see that some people here is giving an explanation about where you get your information. It makes sense.

Your ideas are a little bizarre, indeed

Victor
It is my understanding that there have been some that live, or lived in Cuba. Since they are ( or were there ), they are welcomed by the Cuban government ( otherwise they could not have entered )

Concerning the locals, they must follow the directives of the Coma Andante and the Party. Who are we to say otherwise ?

Well, Tropical, you know. After a while, you don't trust everything you read ( meaning I don't, of course. I don't know about you ).
I took a Master and part of the information they gave us was: be careful, because not everything you see on the Internet is true

BAILARIN
unless theyre cuban americans ,( they live in the american embassy suites HOTEL in habana on the malecon , IMAGINE THAT ). after all , some body has to make sure the regimes baseball team is getting thier nikes and chuck taylors ..... lol . personally , as an american visitor i was very well recieved , well treated and respected and sensed no animosity or ill will whatsoever from the wonderful cuban people. even the cuban government officials , from the customs officers , to the police officers and those comrades in the green uniforms working for fidels census bureau that i was made to report to treated me good. ( one even asked me if i wanted to have dinner at her house that night . no joke . ( no , i didnt accept ).

Tropicales
Someone mentioned about the Embassy Suites in Havana. Some seem to doubt it.
Here's a link to show it's listed there:
http://www.wsicorporate.com/accessibility/article/Embassy_Suites_Franchise

*edit: lol...no of course I don't trust everything. But I know what that list is in the business world.

americans are not allowed to live in cuba. our government has placed an embargo on the country meaning that technically we can travel there, however we can't spend money there, making it pointless. basically bush has made it impossible for us to go there. clinton ALMOST had us back to being friends with them but the stupid conservative government screwed us over again. cubans, however, are friendly people and if americans somehow managed to get there, they'd be well treated.
