Aruba is one friendly island. What is a good affordable resort for families?

Both all-inclusive and traditional. Please be specific on rates and websites.

Aruba is a very nice place to visit. It has great beaches and hotels and plenty of nice restaurants. It also has a few casinos in several of the hotels. There is not much to do in Aruba other than beach stuff. You can tour the island in half a day; you’ll see the lighthouse, a national park that’s kinda like wilderness, a cave with some petroglyphics, and a natural bridge where the water comes under it and washes onto a small beach. There is a tour that takes you in a jeep across some of the desert areas but I would skip this.

You really don't need a car in Aruba, there's not that much to drive to see. Baby Beach is kinda nice but don't feel disappointed if you don't get there. Its not that special. You can easily take a public bus to town from the beach areas. There are lots of water sports in Aruba including jet skis, snorkel and scuba, parasailing and wind surfing and just lounging on the beaches. The casinos are nice, but small. Restaurants are rather expensive. I do recommend the Marriott in Aruba; it’s a great hotel. Web site below.

We stayed at the Mariott there and it was very nice, its the last hotel on the beach closest to the lighthouse. The food and service was great and so was the room. Our room rate included a very good breakfast buffet each day.

The Radisson, both in town and on the beach, are also good. The one in town has a private island for its guests.

I used to live in Aruba and it's still my favorite vacation island. The best economical resort is La Quinta. Across the street from the beach with the best unobstructed view of the sunset. Try www.arubarentals.com or if you're into do-it-yourself vacations try www.rentalo.com

I think there are 3 Divi resorts that are all-inclusive but I only remember one, the Divi Tamarijn. Children and teens up to 18 are totally free.

When I went, I stayed in the holiday inn Sunspree. It was very nice, and all inclusive. Just get to the beach early to get an umbrella or pay the guy that works on the beach to reserve one for you.

yes i o to aruba every yer infact in 3 days a great hotle is the playa linda which is a very very nice hotle i loved it you schould stay there.

The Holiday Inn. The Marriott is really not affordable, it is expensive and you do not get what you pay for. I stayed there in December and although the beach was beautiful, the hotel was not good. The Holiday Inn was 3 hotels down (we walked to it). Same beach, nice looking hotel, lots of families. I cannot give you rates as you did not indicate any dates. Less than $200 a night probably year round.
