I would like to go to Atlantis and was thinking of going in August. i want it to be hot and dont mind a bit of rain. But i dont want it to rain a lot and ive heard there is a lot of rain in august. would november be a better time to go? i dont really want to wait until jan or feb. Additional Details how much cooler would the weather be in oct/nov compared to august. it would be good to avoid the rain but i would still like it to be hot.

November is going to be much colder but rain far less. August really is a rainy season down here, especially in the afternoons. I would shoot for later in September or Early October. To avoid the rain and the cold. The cold may not be much of an issue to you if you are from the north though. |

August is a perfect time to visit Atlantis, in fact anytime is just right for them because of their structure, size, and their 100%
customer care, safety, and entertainment.
Enjoy your vacation. |

August is traditonally the "rainy season" up to the point of almost being hurricane weather. November might be a better option. To put it in comparison the average rainfall in August is 6 inches and the average rainfall in November is 2 inches. Both average temperatures are in the 80s. |

The weather is hot in August and that is hurricane season. Yes, it's the rainy season, but when it rains it's quick and moves on. November is nice, it's still hot. I like October and November because it is between tourist season. Everyone is back in school so you don't have the families or student groups and it's before the winter season starts at Thanksgiving. December though April is the high season and things are more expensive and crowded. After schools are out for the summer it gets crowded again.
Even in the winter months the weather is mild. It can get cool at night when the wind comes off the water, but a light jacket is all you need. One New Years Day I was wearing short and a t-shirt.
Worked and lived there. |

The only thing you have to worry about in August is hurricanes. Hurricane season June 1 to Nov 30th.
It will be hot and humid. If you are staying at Atlantis, don't worry so much to do at that resort, you won't notice the weather.
We were on Paradise Island during August and aside from being VERY hot, we had no weather issues.
I think it would be a bit chilly in Jan or Feb and more expensive.
go in August and enjoy) |

Atlantis is lovely they have a aquarium which is really a sight to see.
August is wet in the caribbean so as long as you are aware of that it will be hot also but wet!
We ususally go in January to Antigua its perfect but I know you say you dont want to wait that long but no rain and its hot and calm. |

Rain or shine, the UV rays still come through. August or November you're still looking at hurricane season. And tropical storms feel like hurricanes if you're not used to them. Whatever the weather go and have a great time. Be sure to have some conch fritters and a Bahama Mama for me. :) |
