Barbados a good honeymoon spot??

I'm trying to find a good honeymoon spot in October. Seems like all caribbean countries are touted the same on websites and travel magazines... great beaches, culture, etc.

How does Barbados differ? Seems like tourists have positive feedback...

YES. Barbados is a good honeymoon spot. Not only the weather is great, but people are friendly, and their dishes are delicious, and some are different tastes. It's not only the beaches, they have white sands, crystal blue/aqua water.. Barbados has a lot to offer, especially for those who sightsee, such as Harrison Cove, Altantis Submarine, etc.. I've been 6 times, and loving every time!

I would think so. I love it so much, it's a very beautiful place, with so many lovely beaches. But it isn't only about beaches anyway the people are friendly also...

Barbados is fantastic, we got married there in Nov 05. However, I would highly recommend Galley Bay in Antigua. This place is truly amazing! Good luck. x

Playing Nice
Fantastic place for a honeymoon, in terms of beautiful beaches, and romantic restaurants. NOT a good destination if you are looking for quiet and solitude.

I live here, all my life...

The August/September 2006 edition of Modern Bride listed the world’s most secluded resorts, according to top-tier travel specialists. If you and your fiancé are looking for some serious alone time on your honeymoon, check out these dream destinations in the tropics:

Turtle Island, Fiji
It’s a heck of a haul to fly to Fiji from North America, but Turtle Island just might be worth the trek. This idyllic tropical island was the site of the film Blue Lagoon. Couples stay at one of 14 “bures” (thatched cottages) on the island, a short seaplane flight from the international airport in Nadi. Each couple is assigned a “Bure Mama,” someone who makes sure their guests’ every need is met. The resort is designed for romance, with activities like picnics for two, moonlit dinners on the beach, horseback riding as the sun rises and couples’ massages. The Bachelorette’s Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter honeymooned here, as did Britney Spears and Kevin Federline.

Le Taha’a Private Island & Spa, French Polynesia
A new resort, just four years old, Le Taha’a Private Island & Spa is on the tiny island of Taha’a in French Polynesia, about a five-and-a-half-hour plane ride from Hawaii. Each villa on the beach has its own swimming pool, or choose from bungalow suites on stilts over a turquoise lagoon—in all there are 60 luxuriously appointed rooms. Get a birds-eye-view of the island on helicopter tour, visit the island’s vanilla plantation and black pearl farm or take a private catamaran cruise.

Peter Island Resort, British Virgin Islands
This all-inclusive resort consistently makes Conde Nast Traveler’s and Travel + Leisure’s “Best of the Caribbean” lists. Choose from oceanview rooms or junior suites. If you happen to want to share space on your honeymoon with family or friends (not so secluded then!) book one of the ultra-spacious, multi-bedroom villas. A 10,000-square-foot spa, fitness center, hiking trails, sailboats and more keep guests occupied when they’re not soaking in the sun by the pool or on the beach.

Parrot Cay, Turks & Caicos
Calling itself the “World’s Most Exclusive Resort,” Parrot Cay sits on 100 acres on North Caicos. Accommodations vary, from garden-view rooms, about a three-minute walk to the beach, to beachfront villas that come with their own swimming pools. The décor of the rooms is clean and sleek, with dark teak wood and white accents. For adventure, guests can scuba dive in the pristine waters or take a catamaran out for a sail. Plus, there’s the 5,000-square-foot infinity pool, tennis courts and fully equipped gym.

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan, Bali
Eighteen suites and 42 villas make up the accommodations at this For Seasons Resort on the island of Bali in Indonesia. Interestingly, this resort isn’t on the ocean, but set on the Ayung River. A two-level pool set in the jungle, a full fitness center and spa offering tandem treatments are among the luxury resort’s amenities.

good luck with your search

The Caribbean sea can't be beat. It's all about the white sand and the blue/green water. Relax and de-stress
Have a great honeymoon. Good Luck
