Barbados with Kids - advice?

Hi there. Will be heading to Barbados with 3 kids under the age of 4. Any advice (other than the beach) of tours, restaurants.....Thanks in advance!

Take them on tours that have animals. Such as the 'Wild Life Reserve'. There they may get a chance to come upclose with some turtles, birds etc.
Bubba's Restaurant (it's like TGI Fridays, Ruby Tuesdays etc) on the South Coast is a good restaurant. It has a kid's menu and feeding chairs for the really little ones.

Three kids under 4. I hope you are not on the same flight as me.

why don't you just save the money and beat yourself with a coat hanger...same end result

Most important make sure they all have sun screening clothes - as at least one must be too young for sunscreen. Also, good sun hats. You too of course.
Make sure to plan ahead for car seats.
You'll have to check when planning to eat out as some paces do not welome children after 7pm.
Sounds like you will have a lot of down time, with the children being so young, but do relax and enjoy the ambiance of the tropics.

almond beach club family resort
check out the west coast for beautiful scenery and mushroom rock formations created by years of erosion and surf jutting out of the sea (surf is rough ) and dramatic
enjoy the reef by the hotel for snorkelling its all inclusive
with childrens programs

I went to Barbados last year, for a holiday with my sister. Honestly with most Caribbean holidays there is not a lot for children esp those under the of 7, to do!

The best advice I could give is looking into your hotel to make sure that they have a lot of facilities to keep the children occupied such as water games, evening entertainment, playground, and close proximity to the beach.

On our rep days, when we booked the excursions I honestly didn't see much that would cater for children at that age. We did go to a lovely beach party in the evening called Harbour Lights http://www.harbourlightsbarbados.com/beach_extravaganza.htmwere you had your evening meal, and all drinks included, located on the beach. It had great entertainment and loads of lively shows, and activities.

Other than that, I could only suggest you looking on the Barbados tourist websites like the links below, to get a feel for the island.

If your hotel has baby sitting facilities I would recommend you and your husband going to St Lawrence Gap! We stayed in a hotel in this area and the nightlife and restaurants are excellent!

I'd say rent a house on the west coast that has maid service (many of them do) and some offer cooks depending on the house. Activities for children are somewhat limited, but you can go to the Animal Flower Cave, Andromeda Gardens, Barbados Wildlife Preserve & Ocean Park. Ocean Park is not as exciting as the aquariums in the US, but there is a miniature golf course there that you can probably teach the basics to your kids. Otherwise, just walking around the park should be just fine for them as most of it is outdoors with large tanks (stingrays, sharks, etc).

Check out Barbados' Board of Tourism website for more info on the places to see.
