I haven't been everywhere in the carribean but I have been to a few. The place I liked best was Mexico, Playa del Carmen. I stayed at the Iberostar pariasio del mar. Beautiful. If you go make sure you go see Tulum-Mayan ruins and Xel-Ha which is a snorkling/swimming/animal exhibit/. awesome. The cheapest and best place I have found to book trips to the carribean is sunfinders.com.

There are a lot of great honeymoon destinations in the Caribbean. Before you book check out Fiji also it usually is less crowded and just as affordable.

okay the cheapest way to travel (take it from me i travel A LOT) is to go through the web site i am pasting at the bottom of this. its discounted packages and on top of that u can have open credit through the company with 0% interest. so if you want to go on a trip next week but havent saved the money, they give you the 2k or whatever amount in advance AND then you pay it off at your own convience at 0% interest. i know it sounds too good to be true but i do it all of the time. their rates are better then everyone elses too. actually i like the company so much i bought into it. its up and coming, but very legit. i think its going to be the next big thing, especially the way the economy is. here is the site. check it out! i hope you have a great time on your trip!

ps- if u want to buy into the company its only a 50.00 buy in and then you get paid monthly. its like a residual thing. theres also a monthly fee of either 20 or 50 but it pays off. you get it back. plus more.

I've traveled throughout the Caribbean and have been in the travel industry for over 15 years. Here are a few of the top Honeymoon destinations I have booked for newlyweds. If you have any questions you can always email me at kirstinc@gotravelorlando.com. So, I hope this information helps.
**Costa Rica: very active destination - volcanos, canopy tours, whitewater rafting, beaches, surfing, fishing, golfing, ATV tours, and so much more. Arenal area has the live volcano and natural hot springs...check out Tabacon - There is also La Paz Waterfall Gardens....look at The Peace Lodge. Guanacaste area...check out either the Paradisus Playa Conchal or Occidental Grand Papagayo. Manuel Antonio area ....Si Como No resort. San Jose...Costa Rica Marriott.
**Belize: This is usually a combination of 2 areas. First you can head out to Ambergris Caye(amazing watersports) to either Ramons Village or Victoria House(love the casitas). Then go inland up to the Cayo district(archeological ruins, cave tubing) and try Blancaneaux Lodge.
**Riviera Maya: Iberostar Paraiso del Mar, Iberostar Paraiso Lindo, Aventura Spa Palace, Paradisus Riviera Cancun. The beaches in the Riviera Maya area area better than those in Cancun proper.
**Punta Cana: Wide, expansive, palm tree lines beaches - watersports, and more. Try the Melia Caribe Tropical or the Paradisus.
**Negril Jamaica: nice beaches, good watersports. Try Sandals Negril, Couples Negril.
**St Lucia: The Pitons are beautiful. The negative here is that airfare can be a bit high at times. Try Le Sport, Sandals, Anse Chastenet.

Those are the more popular destination and, outside of St Lucia, the airfare and rates are usually very reasonable. If you are looking for more of a luxury option try these.....

Raffles Resort on Canouan Island
Peter Island Resort
Four Season Nevis

Again, this only scratches the surface of the many Caribbean options, but I hope it is a good starting point.

Happy Feet
Iberostar (5*) Costa Dorada - Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.

mormologist
el dorado royal.

affordable luxury.

adults only spa resort that is "really" all inclusive, not watered down drinks and burgers.
