If its Waterfallls You want then No other place is ideal but the island of Dominica(NB not to b mistaken with the spanish speaking Dominican Republic). The main island where the Piratesd of the Caribbean 2&3 was Filmed
I say so because it has 365 rivers and has the most rugged terrain in the caribbean(mountains reaching almost 5000ft)...that leaves without a doubt numerous waterfalls dotted all over the place from popular easy accesible ones to the very private ones that requires hiking through the rainforests wich are habited with endemic and endangered species such as our national bird sisserou or"Amazona Imperialis".
You said that you and your fiancee are active...well let me say again...nowhere else in the caribbean can challenge Dominica. The island emphasises on eco-tourism so there are many sites and trails developed and maintained to allow you the adveturous to hike to various UNIQUE spots. To your advantage the island is overflowing with tour guide operating services which iwould provide with the links to below.
There are many sites to hike to, some with varying difficulty levels which you could choose from..(webistes beloww will provide info on that).
The available Natural sites in Dominica far exceeds jus the uncountable waterfalls. There is the world famous "Boiling lake" which is the 2nd largest in the WORLD,largest of its kind and only one in the WESTERN hemisphere.
There are fresh waterlakes acres wide which offer Kayaking and detailed boat rides.
Sulpher springs, pools and spas with natural therapeutic mineral content which is great for the skin.
Dominica is branded as the whale watching Capital of the Caribbean..meaning the best views of not only whales but also dolphins could be obtained here while on oneof the organised tour operatours cruises.
The island was rated as the 2nd best Destination in the ENTIRE ATLANTIC for both scuba and Snorkelling by the Reader's Choice magazine 2007.-That speaks for itself.
In Dominica there are no large white sand beaches because of our volcanic nature...but rather we have small private black and honey coloured sand beaches...which to both you alls advantage are not overcrowded. Most people are never adveturous enough to take the bold step to visit our unique beaches but really the new experience should be worth it.
There are many other unique sites and things to do while on Dominica like river tubing, kayaking, mountain climbing, Atv riding thru the forest, horse backriding, visiting the sites filmed in the movie Ppirates of the Ccaribbean etc ectc.but I will leave the webistes to do that cuz i will never end typing here. |

My honeymoon clients ALWAYS come back raving about Puerto Rico & St. Lucia.
Beautiful islands with warm friendly people & very good food!
Martinique would also fit the bill... I am unsure about Guadelope though
Congrats to you! |

Sandals is the best honeymoon resort. Jamaica, Antigua, St. Lucia or Bahamas. So much to do.

Don't book yourself, go to a travel agent, they have contacts you don't have. You want someone to call if you have any issues. I think Liberty Travel is having a sale right now.
Congratulations and Best of Luck
