Best Place to relax in Puerto Rico?

I know some islands, its great to stay in the capital and sometimes its not? Would you recommend staying in San Juan or another city in Puerto Rico. I really just want to relax and spend a lot of time on the beach and maybe every once and a while. I'm not going strictly to party.

If you are looking to do some relaxing in the mountainside check out www.hotelcasagrande.com. It has a unique and natural twist to your stay. You can chill out on your own hammock on a private balcony overlooking some awesome mountains or you can sit by the pool and enjoy a beautiful mountain view. Let me know if you have any more questions. I live close to this place.

San Juan is not the place to relax on a beach. I love San Juan but if you want to relax, I would suggest Vieques.

Culebra, but if you want countryside, go to Jayuya, Utuado...look at the map, beautiful, quiet, peaceful and the people are old fashioned and amazing...........so polite, stay away from big cities.................

Hotel Westing Rio Mar in Rio Grande ( I think)

Hotel El conquistador in Fajardo

Hotel Copamarina in Guanica

Hotel Rincon of the Seas, Rincon

And the Whitham Hotel in Vieques I cant remember the name its a good one too.

San Juan is not a good place to relax is crowded and loud, It's good for party but not to relax.

Rincon is the perfect place to stay! The small town has the best beaches for swimming, surfing or just laying around. There is this nice family friendly hotel, Rincon of the Seas. Near by is Angelo's Car Rental. I know you'll love it there!

I would not recommend SJ or anywhere on the northern coast, it's too overcrowded and can be noisy in the evenings. Hence, I would recommend going to the beaches of Fajardo (east coast); and if you really want isolation in nothing but peace and quiet with limited partying environment, take a short ferry or small plane to the island of Culebra (off the south eastern coast).

There is a smaller island called Culebra. It's known for its beautiful pristine beaches. Getting there might be a bit of a hassle, but many swear it's worth it.

Any part of Puerto Rico is excellent to stay and relax but I recommend two municipality island Vieques and Culebra. The beach in both island are white and beautifully. You can go by boat or plane. You can recor those Island in less than a few hours. Their people are very hospitality. You can stay in a few hotel for a right price they are not five stars but have good service en general. Another options are guest house and apartment for rent. Just remember bring a lot of sun block.
