Best island for overall experience in the Caribbean?

Went to Aruba a few years back and realized a week was way too long to stay on the island. It had great beaches, but was not a lot to do or see (besides water stuff).
Any islands with more local flavor and awesome sights?

Puerto Rico. There is so much to do there that a week is not nearly enough. There is so much culture & fun to experience. San Juan is a city with over 1 million residents. There are amazing historical sights like el Morro Fort. There are casinos, restaurants, shopping, nightlife & more. Puerto Rico has enough beaches to visit one everyday of the year. Culebra & Vieques islands are practically secluded with gorgeous white sand beaches. Gorgeous coral reefs & watersports all over the island. Golf, fishing, horseback riding on the beach, you name it and PR has it! Puerto Rico has a tropical rain forest called el Yunque. You can hike & swim in waterfalls. Kayak in a bioluminescent bay, explore camuy caves or see the largest radio telescope on earth(the arecibo observatory). Rincon has the best surfing. Ponce is another cool city on the south coast, with lots to see. I can go on & on.. But this video will show you better :)

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC :-)!!!! Mesmerizing beaches and spectacular landscapes (there are some really amazing tours in DR too so you can see historical stuff and DR has some really beautiful parks too They are really relaxing). DR has a lot of local flavor and awesome sights. It has Crazy clubs too :-). Puerto Rico is a good island for overall experience too.

St. Marteen is good, Trinidad and Jamaica are all live islands... Also St. Thomas is great because you can go to the different islands via boat or small planes.

The Virgin Islands. Both US Virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands.

There is ferry service connecting the islands. You get to see 5/6 islands depending on your time in the islands.

Here is a link

The Virgin Islands are awesome especially St John.

Enjoy)

Trinidad and Tobago:
Trinidad, full of fun and nightlife, good food and great sights;

Visit the Pitch Lake, the largest deposit of Bitumen in the world. The pitch (asphalt) is used to pave roads as far as England!
Visit the Asa Wright center or the Wild Fowl Trust or the Emperor Valley Zoo to get an idea of the birds, nature and animals of T&T and South America!
Cleaver Woods Park, here you will see the artifacts and history of the original settlers of T&T, the Caribs and Arawaks (Amerindians)
Movie Towne cineplex, a combination of shopping and ten cinemas in one place
Visit the Devil's Woodyard, located in the Southern end of the country, there are many small mud volcanoes.
Visit St James, the city that never sleeps, where you can get food, beers, entertainment all night long.
See Gasparee Island, take a pirogue and journey to this island where you can visit the cave filled with stalagnites and a crystal clear pool, have a picnic and enjoy the scenery.
Head to Maracas beach and have yourself a nice shark and bake with all the local sauces and seasonings and wash it down with a red Solo, have a Carib or a Stag beer and enjoy the beautiful women/men who make up T&T!
Tobago:
When you are ready to cool down, take a ferry and head to Tobago where you can have your choice of snorkeling, visiting the Buccoo reef on a glass bottom boat, and jumping overboard after into the Nylon pool and experience the underwater life.
Go to Storebay or Mt Irvine where you can get a taste of the best curried crabs with dumplins, drink a cold coconut water,
eat some benne balls, pawpaw balls, nutcake, sugarcake, toolum, preserved mango, tamarind balls.
And when you've had enough and you've left our shores, go home and book a flight to return next year because l know you'll want to visit Paradise again!!

Antigua is great. Its very wholesome, from the fast paced clubbing vacation to the relaxing on the beach!
