Well as far as storms, Barbados doesn't have that many issues even during hurricane season (which runs from June - November). The most expensive time is in the winter (especially in late Dec - Jan). If you plan on bringing a lot of family with you and cost is a concern for air travel, I'd say try May - June. Ticket prices aren't too bad, the hotels are readily available, and the weather isn't too hot. Jul - Aug is festival time, and while it's one of my favorite times to travel there, if you're looking for some peace and quiet, you may be out of luck unless you stick to the west coast of the island.

Sept - Oct is also nice, though the weather could be a bit unpredictable with more rain likely. It rains frequent in Barbados, but not usually for long periods. It's normal to shower for a couple of minutes in the early morning, and again in the afternoon. I travel there frequently and during various times of the year, I've never experienced bad weather in any of my visits.

Good luck...I'm sure whatever you decide, your wedding will be wonderful (there are hotels with plenty of space such as the Hilton which can have an indoor or outdoor wedding if you are concerned about the weather).

Barbados is great to visit anytime. I visited the island in October and it was lovely. The locals are extremely friendly and I would recommend it to anyone. I wish you and your fiance best of luck.

barbados doesnt really get hit by bad storms, i've gone twice in september/october months which is the rainy season, it normally rains heavilly for a few hours once a week and thats it.

With the Caribbean you should avoid the summer and September and October. Also try and avoid childrens holidays as the price is higher.

This is the best time of year to actually book your holiday as all tour operators have a sale with money off. Might be worth checking itout with your travel agent.

Dont go! Its chavy, go to tobago or antigua instead.

Go between October and June to avoid bad weather.
