sosua is fab, i stayed in a pretty basic hotel and had a great holiday, the staff made it one big party really taking care of us. The beach at sosua is protected from the atlantic and swimming is really good. I visited the south where they made the barcardi advert yrs ago it was lovely too but the water very cloudy due to the sand being so fine. Dont forget to try their rum its delicious and strong!! there's loads to do out there, change money on the beach you get a better exchange rate even though the reps will tell you not too. if you get jelly belly when you arrive pop into a local bar on the beach and ask for lime and soda it will have you better in no time. By the way it gets extremely hot so good sun cream required! On way home met others who had stayed in 4-5 star and said worst holiday ever, bad bellys and watered down drinks with poor entertainment. So glad I stayed where i did, will post hotel if i can find the name |
