Curacao and Bonaire offer some of the best diving spots in the Caribbean. Saba also has some very beautiful and unspoiled reefs.

The Florida Keys are good in the US.
There's a good dive spot in an abandoned mine in Northern Missouri I believe. I can't remember the name.
Cozumel Mexico is great diving.
I don't know anything about diving in the Caribbean. I'm sure there's plenty of good spots. |

I agree with everyone on here. I just dove the FL Keys last month and it was great!!! Beautiful waters, fish, and nurse sharks (not to worry, they are filter feeders with no teeth!) Beautiful waters!! There are a ton of places to dive with too. We used "It's a dive" at the Marriott because we were staying there, they were okay. But there were several to choose from. I say try a few! |

If you can venture out of the US or Caribbean I would suggest going to Sipidan in Malaysian Borneo. This is considered the best diving in the world and it was by far the best diving I have experienced.
This is where you see the big fish, turtles, reef sharks, etc. The place is packed with marine life and on any given dive you would see 30+ turtles, 50+ reef sharks and everything else in between. It has an abundance of life, it has made any other dive site I've visited (Philippines, Great Barrier Reef, Thailand) look measly in comparison. They also have a few good reef dives you can see.
You can't actually set foot on Sipidan Island itself, but can stay on nearby Mabul Island, where they have an array of budget to fairly luxurious accom. And it's Asia prices, so very affordable. |
