Best vacation in Jamaica: Montego Bay, Runaway Bay, Ochos Rios, Negril, Kingston?

Too subjective to answer.....it depends on what your looking for & what you want to do.

I would rule out Kingston on New Years...that would be a madhouse !

I would rule out Runaway Bay too, BORING little town...nothing to do anywhere there unless your at hedo.

Personally I don't like MoBay, lots of hustlers & crime..but it might be fun someplaces like Margarita Ville or Pier 1 .

So its Negril or Ochi....both have lots of beaches, both have nightclubs, and both are pretty safe....but in Ochi you can walk from one end of town to the other in 20 minutes, Negril you'll need a car. I would lean towards Ochi, but Negril will have lots more parties and therefore lots more ppl.

If you're going to party, which sounds like you are, I think the best place would be in Montego Bay. To me, that's the best party location. Ochos Rios would be my 2nd choice. Negril is romantic. Kingston is too crime ridden in my opinion.

Negril for sure. Go to the hotel there called Hedonism 11. If it is too expensive then stay at another hotel close by and apply for a day pass at Hedonism 11. It is extremely beautiful with white sand beach great food and service, ohh and there is a section of the beach where you can be nude if you so choose.

Don't go to Kingston. It isnt really a tourist spot. Its just the capital.

Go to either Negril, which is located between Westmoreland and Hanover...

Or go to Runaway bay, which is located in the northern part of the island.

Kingston is a no go. It's the business center and not much for tourists. Runaway Bay is in the middle of no wheres but does have resorts (with beaches). I'm not one for Montego Bay because it's so spread out and there really isn't a "downtown." Ocho Rios is nice, especially if you want to do Dunn's River Falls. The problem with Ochi is there are a couple beaches but most of the resorts/hotel have their individual (possibly man made) beaches. Negril is the spot to go. It's party central for the island, has lots of night life, decent beach. The problem with Negril (Runaway Bay, Ochi too) is getting there. But most resorts around Negril have bus service, they just don't advertise it.Regardless of where, enjoy New Years and party hearty.

hello there i am 27 i think in jamaica in my personal experience i olny been on a cruise boat to different islands i thought that it was beautiful and still is beautiful to travel to such a wonderful peaceful place in the world on a boat and stop at different ports and go snurkling or whatever but me my life is boring and where i am from (wisconsin) it just is cold damp always rainy so yes i wish i was in jamaica right now you are very lucky to live in jamaica and i wish i could travel there but i really can't afford it buh-bye !

Negril !
Since your singles that's the party area. For beautiful beaches then Ocho Rios and Montego Bay but Jamaica is full of beautiful beaches so it dosen't really matter. I advise go to Negril , lots of parties and fun.

I also recommend Negril. It has the best beaches and also has more nightclubs and nightlife than Ocho Rios or Montego Bay. Lots of singles and parties will be going on in Negril.

Runaway Bay is pretty secluded unless you are staying at Hedonism III. Kingston is a big city without a beach.
