Best vacation place in May. Please Help =)?

Hi.
My boyfriend and I are looking to go on vacation in mid may, and I've been looking at different destinations such as Jamaica, DR, Mexico and etc. I have only been to Acapulco but that was for spring break ( not what we're looking for now). Can someone please advise me of a great get away place. THANK YOU =)

You should consider Barbados since this beautiful island has a lot to offer ranging from beaches to excursions/tours/sightseeing to duty free shopping to dining to nightlife.

If you're from the U.S., you can check this link out direct to Barbados with Apple Vacations:

http://www.applevacations.com/showDestination.do?command=showDestination&destinationCode=BGI

But have fun wherever you choose. All I have to tell you is that Barbados is not to be passed up. And where crime is concerned, Barbados has very low rate compared to other Caribbean countries.

You can check more about this little wonderful place:

Highly Favoured
St Lucia is a good place to go around the second week in May as they have their annual Jazz Festival. It is usually good with many international singers.

Alternatively you can try Barbados. It is a beautiful destination and the people are friendly. I assure you that you will keep coming back here for a holiday if you come the first time.

I went to Maya Riviera Cancun, Mexico with my bf and we stayed at the Paraiso Lindo Iberostar. It was amazing. Close to downtown cancun and close to Playa Del Carmen (which is an amazing place to go for the day, very Miami-ish, actually even better).

If you want to see different destinations with pictures that people have uploaded, go to:

My husband and I have been going to Punta Cana every May for 12 years. Our favorite resort is the all-inclusive Bavaro Princess All-Suits Resort.

Friends of ours just got back from Cancun and they were disappointed with the beaches. I know the mexican gov spent alot of money trying to clean up after the hurricane, but our friends said the beaches were ok in some spots, but horrible in others.

Oh,I forgot to mention that if you do go to Punta Cana The Outback Safari is a must. Its an all day excursion that will have you laughing all day and also teach you some of the dr culture. My huband and I do leave the resort to go for walks and we have always felt save. We even got lost once and one of the other resorts located a few miles down gave us a ride back to our resort.

Enjoy! Wherever you go.

The DR has some great all inclusives that are pretty inexpensive. Problem with DR is that once on the resort property you should stay on the resort property.

Other than that, can't help you with much as you don't give enough information about what you are looking for....beach? quiet time together? adventure?

I own and operate an internet travel agency which specializes in Caribbean vacation packages , so I am uniquely qualified to answer your question and help you find a great vacation package for YOUR needs . My wife & I go to Jamaica every May for our Anniversary , so I am very partial to Jamaica , especially Negril , but we have vacationed at many other Islands ourselves . In order for me to best answer your question & help you decide , I need some additional information , like your departure airport , an approximate budget , exact travel dates & length of stay , your interests while away and a little insight into what YOUR perfect vacation would be , then I can make suggestions and get you price quotes for a couple of places to consider & compare . From the eastern part of the country , the most popular Caribbean destinations are the ones you mentioned , but there are a wide variety of resorts and even locations that may well be perfect for you . There are also options like Aruba , Curacao , Turks & Caicos , or even the Cayman Islands which could work for you . If you contact me at the email below , I will be happy to work FOR YOU to find the right package & destination for you . Regards , Gerry Donnelly , Snapshot Travel
