Older people LOOOOOVEE Bahamas! It is like the paradise of all paradise for them. Beautiful place..built for tourism! Bahamas is PERFECT if they just want to RELAX. They have the MOST beautiful ocean and some AQAURIUM that is UNDERGROUND.. This is the perfect island! they have enough sight seeing and relaxation time..
No more answers..Bahamas the choice. And why cruise? get them over there in 30min so they can start living caribbean style! |

Well first of all I don't consider 50's older! I'm in my 50's and enjoy Dominican Republic for the relaxation. We also own timeshares in Cancun and go every year (at least once). I'd suggest Cancun as they can walk around, go to restaurants or cook in.
For a great timeshare deal go to www.redweek.com or www.tug2.net or www.bidshares.com
look at the resorts at www.royalresorts.com
We also own in Curacao and go there every Nov. to relax at the beach and catch up on our reading.......Sea Aquarium Resort is a small resort on its own private island and absolutely beautiful.......and very restful...don't get me wrong, there are things to do, go to town, visit ostrich farms, booze factories, etc. Look at the royal website and see them all! |

Oh, my! My husband and I are in our 50's and on our last cruise we biked, hiked, kayaked and snorkeled. Your parents are not older parents. Ask them what they would like. |

I think a cruise on the Royal Caribbean would be ideal for your parents. It would give them an opportunity to see and explore some islands and perhaps go back and do a land vacation.
check out this website for cruises
http://www.cruiseonly.com
BTW, your parents aren't old. 50/60 year old's are very active today. Don't let them see your post (heehee)
Good Luck to them in finding a excellent place to vacation.) |

If you will consider Oregon's Pacific Coast, check out Yahats. Amazing nature and environment. The Overleaf Lodge is a great place to spend some time .. see below |

I normally see older people taking cruise to the caribbean. So you can check Carnival, or other. it is a about a week in the caribbean. and they go st thomas, st croix, st maarten and other islands. |

Yikes, 50/60 is not "older". If your parents enjoy sightseeing, I agree that a cruise with at least 4 differnt ports would be very enjoyable for them.
Avoid small islands, like the Bahamas. There are very few cultural sites (3 on Nassau, 2 on Grand Bahama). And a cruise that stops at the line's "Private Island" may not be something your parents would enjoy - it's for people that want to sit, soak up the sun, pay a fee for drinks, towels, chairs, snorkel, or go on a waverunner.
Barbados has a very interesting culture, and many places to visit (from Parliament House to Rain Forest to rocky shoreline). Cancun, or maybe Riviera Maya if they don't enjoy crowds, offers many day trips for sightseeing (Tulum, Chichen Itza, Isla Mujeres). |

Go to Couples resort in Negrill Jamaica. You won't find anything more special and romantic than here. |

If they are mobile and don't have problems walking, consider a cruise. They will get to see a couple different areas/islands/cities, have good meals and time to relax also. |

My suggestion would be Barbados or Bermuda. Both very beautiful, law abiding and with lots to do. |
