Best way & Caribbean island to spend the Month of March on?

I have the month of March off, i would like to stay for a month, I want something with good food a water, not too touristy, maybe a little fishing. Rent a condo, or do a month at a resort?

Any of the ABC islands.. and the Caymans are our favorites

Very safe, easy to get around - Naturally if your out after Midnight no where is really safe

Curacao and Bonaire have outstanding snorkeling and FIRST class scuba diving and if your not a diver.. in a month you could get in a tryout - HIGHLY Recommended

They key to your question is rental and SAFETY is the key with rentals and the above are recommended for easy shopping and low language barriers and you will find plenty of rentals. There are some nice ones in Mexico as well but March is spring break time and unless you are really into the party till you puke stuff, I would avoid any heavy tourist area.

I would advise going to tripadvisor.com for research on hotels and rentals and kayak.com for flights

Read the description for this site: "Be our guest at Harbour Heights and enjoy the most coveted part of the world-famous Seven Mile Beach. Spend your days basking in the sun or strolling along an endless ribbon of powder-soft sand. Never feel crowded or rushed on our broad expanse of beachfront. Relax under our thatched cabanas or our palm trees. Enjoy the clear, aquamarine waters and our warm Cayman Island hospitality." Does that sound like something that would interest you??

Hope this helps.

Quiet islands are mainly the small ones. We liked Aruba because of the beaches and St. Lucia because of the beautiful back country. A lot of people are high on Barbados, which we thought was OK but rather bare, and British Virgin Islands.

Cayman Islands and St. Kitts also are quiet. I have the impression from looking around that Bonaire and Curacao are both safe and quiet, although I haven't been to either one yet.

If you are going to spend a month there, then safety is an issue because you will want to get out a lot. Some islands have great all-inclusive resorts, but you have to be careful venturing out because of crime. The above places seemed safe to us.

Don't mean to step on anyone's toes, but for what you want I would avoid Jamaica, Cancun, St. Thomas, Bahamas, Dominica and Dominican Republic either because of safety or heavy tourism.
