The best one is in Fajardo. The link that I'm attaching is for a kayak company that will take you out into the bay. Not sure it is the same company that I went with (mine was arranged by the B&B I was staying at), but once we got out there, he let us get out of the kayak and swim in the bay (this was a few years ago - not sure they still do that). It was totally cool. I've heard some of the others are loosing their bioluminscence due to local industry and heavy tourism, but I don't know that as fact - just what our guide told me. Some of the others just offer big paddle boats where you can't play in it. You'll want to at least stick your hands in the water and swirl it around. It's the most amazing thing.

The best one (in my opinion) is on Vieques (Mosquito Bay). There are 2 ways to visit it: you can either stay over the night, or take a tour from Fajardo and return that same night. The best part is that you are allowed to swim in the water.

The one in Fajardo (Laguna Grande) is very good also. There are many kayak companies that you can go out with. No swimming allowed.

The most important thing is to check the moon for the night you want to go. If it is too bright, you will not see as much glow.

Getting to Fajardo should take about 1.5 hrs from SJ.

The one in Vieques a small islet near the Fajardo coast is the best.

It will be like a 1:45 minutes drive to the ferry in Fajardo.

Vieques!

The best one is the one in Vieques, it still very pristine because it's very secluded and far from pollution and the Viequense's protect it. They don't allow fuel boats to go in. You can see the luminescence trailing to some areas of the public beach.

La Parguera. Vieques is the other ones, you'll need a speedboat from San Juan, or take the Ferry at Fajardo.

I went to the one in Vieques last month. It was phenomenal!

None, travel time is more than that.
* La Parguera, Lajas is in the sourth western coast of the island.
* At Vieques there is another one, you need to get a small plane (CESNA) or travel to Fajardo and take a ferry to Vieques.
* I think there is another one at Fajardo, but not sure. you can reach Fajardo in less than two hours by car.
