anyone who uses " i saw the dog on the back of the horse ' in his possible 1000 word english vocabulary is surely giving worthless information for the would be spanish speaker , and i must wonder what his world looks like when he puts the pipe down and what part of the horse he himself really is /? loool,or in this case , hee haw hee haw neeeeeh. (disculpa me gente , pero se parece lo que alguien aqui la quiera insultar la persona preguntando nos esta pregunta .) Y NO ES LA PRIMERA VEZ !

don't forget to actually talk to the family, you have an opportunity to speak the language real time :)

If you are going to a Spanish speaking country, you need to learn Spanish BEFORE you get there and not wait until you are there, hoping you can learn Spanish with no effort on your part, because IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY.

You need to have a vocabulary of at LEAST 1000 WORDS and know how to use them BEFORE you get to Cuba... or ANY foreign country. You can last just so long by memorizing phrases like..." I saw the dog riding on the back of a horse" or equally worthless phrases... you need to KNOW THE WORDS and HOW TO MAKE SENTENCES before you get to the country

Hi there,

I have just finished travelling Central America and have had experience at various Spanish schools in different countries.

I was never lucky enough to visit Cuba but I can recommend a few websites to get you started with your search.

http://www.transitionsabroad.com - this site lists a huge amount of schools and programmes throughout the world.

http://www.languageschoolsguide.com/Cuba.cfm - this sites lists 13 schools in Cuba!

Good luck and enjoy...
