Yes they can.
The ABC islands are outside of the usual hurricane belt, but this does not mean they will not get hit. There have been a few close calls this year, and in 2004, ivan also came by pretty close. However the last time these islands got a direct hit was over 100 years ago.
Remember, it is possible for them to get hit. Just a smaller chance then the Northern Caribbean islands.

Yes, but chances are much lower than for other Islands. If you want to avoid Hurricane problem schedule your travel for ABC islands in Jan-Dec .

It is unlikely that a hurricane will hit them with full force. They may get some flooding, wind and rain from a hurricane depending how close it comes. But the rain and wind will pass quickly like it did with hurricane Dean. Very little damage.
