I work in a hotel, and it is always acceptable to ask to see the room before deciding to stay or not. Would you go to a restaurant and let them blindfold you so you can't see your food before you eat it? |

You may absolutely ask to see the room first. The front desk would probably prefer that to having you ask to be moved once you've completed all the paperwork and keys have been issued. |

In Negril im not too sure, but i would say that you have a right to view any goods before purchase. If you are concerned then there are 2 options, the first you ask to see it. The second is that you take the room before seeing it and if your not happy with it you have the right to ask to change rooms |

I don't have personal experience of the Negril customs however wherever i have stayed throughout the world i have always checked a room first. In some cases i have cancelled my reservation and gone elsewhere.
Go for it. |

Well, you can view the rooms online. So go to the website of the hotel that you are planning to stay and they usually have models of all the different rooms on the website. |

to me it shouldn't be you are spending your money you should be able to take a look before paying for something that you may not have paid for |

Yes it wouldn't be a problem. But to save you the hassle of trying to find a nice hotel when you arrive there, why don't you research some hotels before you go? Look at trip advisor to read reviews of hotels, to see what other people who have stayed at them think |

I would say NO!(it wouldn't be rude)....that should be totally acceptable as it is YOUR money you will be spending.....besides what if the hotel room doesn't suit your needs....it's always best to check it out visually first....Good Luck! |
