You've been given some great places...as you can see, Cuba is gorgeous and amazing all throughout the island.

Might I recommend Cayo Coco...although it's a little secluded and off the mainland, it is very easy to travel to the main city. It's a 15 minute bus ride from the airport and it's a 45 minute drive to the city of MorĂ³n. There are many activities to do and places to see. Havana is a 40 minute flight and you can go there for a day or a 2-day trip.

Cayo Coco is simply beautiful. The water is a crystal clear turquoise with soft powder white sand. It's very relaxing there.
And I recommend Tryp Cayo Coco resort. Great staff, amazing people, awesome resort with great accomodations, food, activities, and fun. You can do a lot or just easily relax and chill.

You can also check out Santa Lucia and the ever popular Varadero.

Cuba is exciting everywhere and you won't regret it anywhere you go.

I would suggest staying at the Tryp Peninsula in Veradero, Cuba. It is a 5 star, all-inclusive and it is just gorgeous! It isn't that expensive either, my trip was $1200 Canadian dollars and I went the first week of January. I did many day trips also. I went on the Catamaran tour and it took us to Casa Blanca beach, where we ate lunch and swam. There was a bit of snorkeling and then took us to this enclosed water to swim with dolphins and have your picture taken with them kissing your cheek. I also went on a separate snorkeling tour in Montanza I think it was called, and it was absolutely gorgeous, definitely a must! The water is really clear and you see many tropical fish. My last trip was the jeep safari/boat tour. It was great, you get to go off-roading in a standard jeep and into the town of Montanza and then get in a boat and go around the curvy corners and get off at a park to eat-food wasn't great but there was an animal farm there that you got to hold a tree rat and a baby alligator. The beach was beautiful with clear turquoise water. At the resort and the rooms were very clean and spacious. They kept the grounds very clean and beautiful. Great choice if you are wanting to stay in Varadero.

It depends on what kind of accommodation you like but Casa Particulares are popular. Rather like a B&B. Otherwise there are various hotels at different prices. Hotel Ingleterra is central, Hotel Nacionale is very expensive, just above the Malecon. For further accommodation information go to http://www.fascinating-travel-destinations.com/cuba-casa-particulares.html

You may want to travel down to Vinales, and/or Trinidad which is a lovely old town. The beach resorts are also a possibility.

i would suggest Sol Melia Rio Lunas y Mares.. You fly into Holguin and it is about an hour by comfortable bus to Guardalavaca where the resorts are located. Luna y Mares is fantastic, a beautiful white sand powder beach, good dining, excellent friendly staff and lots to do that is included at no extra cost. Check the sites below for more info and check trip advisor for the reviews by other tourists. wherever you go rest assured you wil have a wonderful time and please check the site below for what you can take as gifts to help our Cuban friends.
