Caribbean cruises!!!!!!!!!!?

what's better a 4 night cruise or seven? Also what is best, western, eastern, or southern? Suggestions?

Destinations are limited on the shorter trips due to travel time, so I'd opt for 7 (or more)

Each direction has its own appeal. IMO, Eastern is better. You'll sail longer unless you depart from SJU but the ports are better. Each direction has its own affinity for hurricanes, and that depends on the time of departure. Southern is probably the most out of the historical paths, but the trips are usually longer than 7 days.

7 is better. With 4 you barely get on the ship before it is time to get off. Give yourself enough time to relax and enjoy it. The itinerary doesn't matter. Choose ports that are good instead. St. Maarten and Curacao are excellent choices.

I have done all of the above. 7 is always better than 4. I prefer Eastern and Western but would not turn down Southern too. If you have to pick- go with 7 and Eastern.

7 days......much more time to get into vacation mode, I prefer eastern & southern.....both are much more caribbean than Mexico

shygirl93
Seven, southern is the best.

7 days definitely, 4 days aren't enough to see and enjoy the trip.
BrisaTrips.com got us a good deal on our last trip from Princess Cruises-Sapphire Princess
Los Angeles, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, Los Angeles.
Good Luck!

If this is your first cruise, I'd go for the 4 night cruise. It's essentially the same as the 7 nighter, but you only visit one or two places. That way you'll know if you like cruising and can book a 7 day one next time. I say the western carribbean is a great place to cruise, but don't go if there's a hurricane anywhere around!
