Hurricane season is from June 1st to November 30th.

I suggest Barbados. For accommodation, choose Pegwell Inn Guest House as it's by far the cheapest one compared to other guest houses. The lady is accommodating. It's walking distance to post office, beaches, restaurants (across the street is Southern Plaza -- has a supermarket, shoes store, and so on).

That guest house is right by the road, where you can take Route 11 taxi or transport bus into Bridgetown, its capital (both are $1.50 BDS each way). You can even get a Speightstown bus if you want to go more north and stay at the same price.

For more information, you can contact me via here by e-mail thing.

Hope this helps.

I was in Grand Cayman and Cozumel last Sept, and it was great. Only problem was it was still like 100 degrees during the day.

St Thomas USVI. they have great weather year round. I went in Feb. 2003. They said (at Bluebeards Castle) that most hurricanes dont have a great impact on the island, I dont know why. Most people say go to expedia, however, skyauction.com is they best site for great deals. I got 7 days at the Castle for 195.00 total. Try that website before you book a vacation. Its worth the time to look!

try a cruise even if a hurricane does happen it will sail away from it and you will still have your vacation

I have a Carnival Cruise planed for this Sept and this is my second, I personally am not worried about any storms, and the weather is great that time of year the and has one of the lesser % chance of rain. summer is hight for rain.

Try Vieques or Culebra Puerto Rico. Small Ilands on the east of Puerto Rico. If you enjoy surfing Rincon, Puerto Rico is the place to go. The ratio of americans to puerto ricans in Rincon is about one to one. Visit http://www.holasanjuan.com for more info, Saludos, Raul

There is no way to guarantee you perfect weather in September in any part of the Caribbean. My advice is to keep in touch with the weather channel which offers very reliable concise weather predictions for the Caribbean and make your plans based on the info. You can go to the weather channel and look at the predictions now that the hurricane season is about to begin. Hurricane season runs from June 1 - November 30 yearly. Last year was a very good season for us with very little activity. At the same time, it's important to note that usually the busiest month of the season is September - this does not mean that a hurricane will hit in September of this year.

I live in the caribbean and it's a pretty safe place during the hurricane season except for the past few years or so and feel very comfortable living here. If you have not yet decided on a location, let me take this opportunity to recommend ANTIGUA check out http://www.adventureantigua.com/... and http://www.antiguanice.com
Antigua is a little piece of paradise, has 365 LOVELY beaches and warm, friendly, inviting accommodating people. Delicious local dishes, lots to see and do. see for yourself.

Lovely sites, hikes, explore the coral reefs - you can feed the fish. Get a taste of the night life - clubs, etc... truly a lot to .... the most awesome breath-taking Sunsets picturesque moonlit sky with the stars all aglow......
