2. Country shut down the Friday before Ash Wednesday.
3. Nasty, sexy, sweating, dancing, eating, drinking, sexing, feeling...partying
4. Jouvet is the Monday morning from 3 a.m. - till (see answer number 2)
5. 12 am Wednesday morning the Street t'ing end, but then is off to the beaches for more fun on Wednesday (see answer number 2) and the following weekend is last lap.
6. Oh there is alot of lovely costumes and soca concerts, but most of all see answer number 2.

1 .....there are quite a few places that it takes place such as Port of Spain, Arouca, and San Fernando also in tobago but port of spain is the main attraction
2......the main event .revelry through the streets takes place in mon and tues by adults who have bought costumes to be part of bands that they move through the streets with
4...on monday there is dirty mas with mud and or body paint, or you chip with your band in casual wear provided by them
3......jouvert is mas... it is people in costumes at the crack of dawn ok long before dawn
5.....with people feet hurting real bad

let's start at the beginning, for trinidad and tobago is the twin island republic just 9 miles or so from Venezuela, S. America. The capital of TT is Port of Spain, the Carnival City. Officially/unofficially, from Boxing Night, 26 Dec, the Carnival parties are ongoing. Officially/unofficially in August there are carnival band launch parties. In theory, Ash Wednesday for practising Christians is observed for the end of the Carnival Season. The Lent tradition, eating no meat and general fasting starts. Normally, a Carnival fete takes place btw January - Dec. It's a part of the culture of Trinidad and Tobago.

1. it is held practically anywhere. usually in port of spain.
2. it lasts for 2 days, ash wednesday is cool down.
3. monday and tuesday is to fete and wine down the place. ash wednesday is to go maracas beach and cool down. thursday you can't move. friday you recovering. saturday you sleeping. sunday you getting ready for work.
4. jouvert is Carnival Monday, and takes place around 5 in the morning.
5. it ends with wining down the place.
6. yes, it's a very dangerous time. a lot of people get pregnant around then. *don't ask why* and you'll be feting till you see the sun!
