You could try Barbados!

That country is paradise! Also, has so much to offer. You can take a tour bus to tour the whole island!

So much to do, so much to see! The nightlife is GREAT! Check Harbour Lights (http://www.harbourlightsbarbados.com/ ), Boatyard (http://www.theboatyard.com/ ) and St. Lawrence Gap (http://www.thegapbarbados.com/ ),(http://www.barbados.org/stlaw.htm ).

St. Lawrence Gap has not only clubs, but restaurants, hotels, etc.. Such as The Ship Inn (http://www.shipinnbarbados.com/ ), Reggae Lounge, etc.!
Bridgetown, its capital, is known for duty-free shopping ranging from shoes to clothes to jewellery to books.

The beaches are fabulous, try Accra (known as Rockley Beach), Maxwell, Miami/Enterprise.

The people are friendly, some food are different (if you always want to try something different, you can try Fridays in Oistins (a town known for its fish market).

If interested, you can check out The Barbados Museum (http://www.barbmuse.org.bb/ ). Like I said, there's so much to see in this whole island. You can try some cruises such as Jolly Roger (http://www.tallshipscruises.com/ ).

If you are in need of cheapest accommodation out there and not care about luxury but at least clean, then I suggest Pegwell Inn Guest House, it's close to amenities (across the street is Southern Plaza), public transportation (right at the road) - a big bus to go into Bridgetown or Speightstown, maybe a minibus but for sure, a route taxi (route 11) that goes into the capital and all costs $1.50 BDS) - you could even take a taxi but it's expensive), beaches, and within walking distance, internet cafe (if it's still there), laundromat, post office, restaurants, pharmacy.

I 've been to Barbados twice and it is a fabulous island.Lovely people and beautiful beaches.Very safe and quite a bit to do and see.The west and south coasts have the most accommodation but the east coast is stunningly different and good for surfing.
I've also been to Cuba.The capital Havana is steeped in history with amazing architecture.There is loads to do there.Lots of students go there to study Spanish.A communist country though so the Cubans are not well off but know how to enjoy themselves.Avoid Varradero as this is a popular tourist area but everything is hotel based and there is not much to see or do.Watch thieves in Havana and people wanting to befriend you but it really is worth a visit.

Puerto Rico and St. Lucia are 2 of my favorite places. Puerto Rico is very beautiful, urban yet relaxed, a good mixture of tropical, rural and inner city. St. Lucia is very beautiful, like Dominica it has that natural beauty, but is more developed. From St. Lucia you can also take a tour or ferry to St. Vincent or Martinique. The people in both places are very relaxed and carefree. Barbados is nice and well developed. The people are nice but conservative. Grand Cayman is nice but expensive and not a lot to do. Aruba is similar. I hear St. Kitts is very beautiful and unspoiled. That's my next island to visit.

I would recommend this boat, which goes between several islands St Lucia, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique and some small islands and is cheaper than travelling by plane. http://www.lexpressdesiles.net/ Guadeloupe and Martinique and the associated islands are part of France, so you have the privileges of an EU national while there! Look up the geography of these places. They may look close together, but sometimes you have to go to Miami to get from one nearby island to the other. Jamaica is a good connecting hub and Jamaica Airlines does an island hopper ticket which as far as I can tell is only available to people outside the Caribbean (I have been greeted with blank stares whenever I've asked locally), so make sure you book in advance. http://www.caribbeanmag.com/search/articles/Caribbean/Small_airlines_of_the_caribbean.html

try going to st.vincent @ the grenadines for starters.went there a few years ago and it was brill.tobago quays? for diving weather very hot and sticky but worth it .lots of other islands to visit good hunting
