I am travelling to Negril in October/november with my new husband for our honeymoon. We will be there from 29th October through to the 13th November. We would like to attend a church while we are there as we are both christians and go to church twice a week at home. Can anyone provede me with information about churches near to the Rui Tropical Bay in Negril please? I can't find any info online for churches in Negril. I have emailed the hotel and a couple of jamaican churches I found online (I think they were in Kingston though). I just don't know how else to find out, and don't want to spend half my honeymoon searching for a church to visit, I would rather have info about any churches available before we go. Thankyou so much for reading this and hope you can help?
You did not make mention of what Church you attend however i have found a web page with some info which can provide some assistance.

However church of god or a seventh day Adventist should not be too hard to fine just ask the front desk personnel's and trust me they will also guide you in the right direction.

Go to

and check out the new Negril Map.. The churches on the main road are listed on it. As already mentioned you didn't specify what religion you were looking for, but many churches are on the main beach road. There are many churches much closer than Kingston. There is a Catholic church right across the street from Coco LaPalm, next to Green Leaf Cabins. I also saw quite a few churches on the road to Sav La Mar.
Good Luck

I believe they do have some.

You will have no problem finding a church near by. Jamaica was once and sure if we still are listed in the Guiness Book of World Records as having the most churches per square mile.
Enjoy your trip

I'd recommend emailing the hotel and asking for their recommendation. I'm sure they will know the nearest church where tourists will feel welcome. hotel.tropicalbay@riu.com
