There was an incident in Virginia where 5 children from 20 plus to 11 I think, were involved in an accident. The vehicle flipped a median and hit a truck. All 5 children plus a relative died in the firey car crash.
What was said was dat every holiday dey usualy go on long drives, stayed at motels etc.
The children's father, who lives in Trinidad had a heart attack when he got the news about the accident.
There are little bit of news in the Express newspaper.

My heart and sympathy goes out to that family. I can't even imagine what the rest of the family is going through right now.
Reminded me of that horrible Bronx fire back in March of this year that killed I think nine people, five of the kids and the mother died from one family, that was a sad day for me, I really feel for people when that type of tragedy hits.
Anyway, i found this out about the Trinidad family.

Read below.

Six Bronx Residents Die in Virginia Car Crash
A Honda Accord carrying six members of a Trinidadian family died after their car crashed on U.S. 58 in Virginia Tuesday afternoon. Police say the Accord's driver had lost control, overcorrected, and crossed the median before hitting an oncoming industrial drill rig.

The rig's driver Bill Sanderlin told the Daily News, "I don't know what happened on their side, but they came across kind of at a high rate of speed and they got airborne. I actually saw the bottom of their car for a second there. That's how high off the ground they were." The Accord ended up lodged under the rig, and the car caught fire. Five of the passengers died instantly, and a child, rescued from the Accord by Sanderlin's passenger and another passing driver, died later of mass trauma.

Because of the fire, there was little identification found at the scene. But it turned out that five of the passengers are children of Pamela Ramharrack of the Bronx (the sixth passenger still hasn't been identified). The News reports that Ramharrack is sending dental records and photographs to Virginia authorities and that when she told her husband, who still lives in Trinidad, he had a heart attack. The identified victims were between 11 and 25 years old.

I'm Dominican (Dom, Republic), and I read it in the paper this morning, that it's so sad and tragic, my hearts goes with the family.

curious!
Yes this story moved me tremendously. Imagine losing five of your kids in one go. I hope their mother keeps strong in her faith and the father recovers from the heart attack he got on hearing the news - I don't know how I would have taken such tragic news!

May god bless you guys and give you the strength necessary to cope with your loss.

Ashti could you post a link? I didn't hear about the accident.

Our deepest sympathy. Its soo hard for a family to come to terms with that kind of loss! Unfortunately, the father also had a heart attack when he got the news.
