Kingston is horrible. If you stay in the tourist area, I know you will have the best time of ur life! Oh try to stay outta there during election time.

my mom used to live there and she said it was really bad. she still has relatives there and it's gotten worse. she lived in kingston and her relatives live around there too. but if your going there on a cruise just stay there on the tourist part of the island (like beaches resort and so) and you should be okay.

Stay away from the big cities , Negril is so special , I suffer from post Negril syndrome every time we leave . And I don't get over it until I have made my next reservation.

I haven't been to Kingston..no interest, but I have traveled around the northern coast and inland and have had no problems. I have been with friends, by myself and with my young son on various trips. I tend to stay away from tourist areas because it is more pricey and not as much fun. Just be cool, watch your back, and show a genuine interest in the people and culture and you will be fine!

No Problems if you stay in the tourist areas. Jamaica is not a place to go off on your own.
