Cruis ship question?

When cruising, how important is what deck you're staying on (as long as you have a window). Most of the time you won't even be in you room, right? Upper deck, main deck? Is it worth the extra money?

The further up you go the more you will feel the boat rocking, unlike some people believe. It really isn't that much of a difference. Just be sure that rooms on the lower decks have a porthole if that is what you want. Sometimes if there is a price difference there is more of a difference than just the deck. But the best thing is to be mid-ship on a lower deck if you are worried about motion sickness.

Hope this helps!

We were on a week long cruise, and we had a lower-deck cabin with NO window! So what, all we did was sleep in there...

it doesnt matter you are hardly in the room. they are very small though. towards the middle of the ship is good for sea sickness

No its not worth the money at all!!! Dont even bother...i usually dont even get a window becuase in the end you basically just go crash their to sleep for a couple of hours then your back on ur feet on the cruise ship

Lizzzzie
If the room is the same it doesn't really matter what deck you are in. I'd prefer to be on a lower deck by the elevator than on a higher deck far from the elevator.

I think being close to an elevator is more important than the desk- assuming the room is the same.

I would never pay more for a "upgraded" deck.

From what I can tell, it won't matter.

the lower you go the less rocking you will feel the higher you go the more rocking you will feel and when i went we were on the very last bottem deck and the only time we were in the room was when we were getting ready to eat, taking showers and sleeping so save the money to buy drinks because they are expensive.

We stayed on the middle deck and had a balcony. You are correct, most times you won't be in your room. So its not important!
