Cruise: Holland America or Royal Carribean?????

I just came back 2 days ago from a cruise on the Voyager of the Seas. This is the 2nd cruise I have taken on RC and the 6th cruise overall for me. For the 2nd time on RC the ship smelled of sewer in places all over the ship, the crew for the most part was rude and the big one!, I had bed bugs!
The food s better to me, on Carnival, and there are more activities on Carnival. Older cruisers on RC and much quieter.

I have gone on Royal Carribbean cruises before and I think they are the best cruise company. You can't go wrong with them

I would suggest Royal Caribbean or, if you really like to party, Carnival. Royal Caribbean has more fun amenities geared towards mid 20's passengers, like their climbing wall, and their onboard acitivities. Carnival is called the party ship for a reason, although they also tend to have kids running around all over the place... Princess is more family oriented, Holland America tends to be more upscale...

We have taken 3 cruises with Carnival and our upcoming cruise, which will be #4 will be with Princess. On the past cruises, we've talked with ppl who have cruised before and were able to make comparisons. Holland America is more of a cruise line for big shots, doctors, lawyers, and the like, They use Royal Albert dishes. Royal Caribbean is more of a family oriented cruise line. They offer amenities like a climbing wall and ice skating rink. A couple of their newest ships even have a surf pool. There are differences in the cruise lines and it's good you're doing your homework. For instance, Carnival isn't very strict at all as far as formal dress for evening dinner, where, we were told once that on Celebrety Cruises, ppl were denied enterance to the dining room because they weren't wearing a tuxedo. Also the Westerdam is a mid sized ship while Royal Caribbean's vessels are some of the largest in the world. You can go to the 2 cruise line's web sites and do more research, also look at pictures of the ships. Bon Voyage

I think Royal Caribbean is better for younger ppl

Holland America is the better of the two. It is the upscale line for Princess Cruises.

However, if you're young, then I'd say go with Royal Carribean. Their passangers tend to stay up later and party a bit harder.
