Cuba and the US dilemma?

We are indian nationals and are going to go the US and then to Jamaica. From there, we will make a side trip to Havana for five days, returning to Jamaica for another 3 days. From Jamaica we will return to the US, where our son and daughter are studying on F1 status. Our US visas are B1-B2. Are we going to have a problem at US immigrations? Does Cuba oblige and not stamp passports at arrival and departure? Is there a problem?

First of all, if you are NOT a US citizen, the US can do nothing about your travels. You are not their concern and they cannot control your travels.
Even if Cuba stamps your passport, the US cannot deny you entry into the US.
However, that said, Cuba does not stamp passports. They only stamp your tourist card (carta turista)....the first half when you land in Cuba and the second half when you leave...and then you can discard that after you leave.

Don't worry, you will have no trouble coming in and out of Cuba and entering the US.

Have a great time!

p.s: this is what your tourist card/visa looks like:

Prior to traveling to Cuba you should be issued with a Visa slip - on arrival to Havana Cuba immigration will stamp your visa slip - not your passport. Then when you leave Cuba they take your visa slip. Therefore when you return to the US you have no problems with the immigration as your passports show no evidence of your trip to Cuba. Don't forget you need a Cuban Visa. Have a great time!

From what I understand your passport will not be stamped if you do not with it to.

However, you would be walking on thin ice. You would be risking your US visas and possibly your children's. After 9-11 have become hound dogs when it comes to homeland security.

It may not sound fair, but they do stereo type, and you may be subject to deeper scrutiny.

You are not a us citizen, the law ( US emabargo) applies only to us residents and citizens ...Cuba does not stamp your passports for the same reason , I went there in May , they did not stamp them
The only problem I may see is bringing cuban products ( tobacco , rum, etc) into US soil ...not allowed but I dont know exactly how would apply to you as an indian citizen.

The US (For reasons archaic and ridiculous) still has an embargo with cuba, so if you show up back to the US as tourists with a cuban stamp, that might be a problem.

I don't see why the Cuban customs would have a huge problem with not stamping your passport, or stamping a different sheet of paper apart from your passport; This is what Israel does to tourists who visit Israel since many arab nations will refuse a tourist entry if they've been to Israel.
