It does get cooler in December and depending on which part of the island you are in, the water can be cooler than other areas. The Cayos are generally warmer all year round. The water is nice even at night.

Ive heard of some chill spells coming through making cuba about 5-60 degrees at night or in the morning for a day or two. Not for long.

Southern Cuba is always warm. Might be about 70 - 80 degrees at night and 80 - 100 degrees during the day. Havana however might have a few nights in the low to mid 60's still nice weather.

You forgot to mention that in summer no, but in winter I would say it DOES

People don't freeze to death, but in January it IS cold. In December too, but I saw the Russians coming out of the sea at 6:00 AM
