Anyway, I love meh Christmas. For me after January 6 Carnival could start, but sadly Carnival mixing with Christmas.

Wha' happenin'? Nice to meet you. Always good to see other Trinis on dis website. I still livin' in Trini (Point Fortin) so I do not get sad at Christmas or Carnival time. lol. But I know what yuh mean....Trini Christmas is unique and I LOVE de parang. I go every year. Last year I went to Maracas and Palo Seco. |

I miss christmas, as you said there is no christmas like Trinidad christmas.
How many times am I going to use the word christmas?
I try to go home for carnival as much as I can, and that's not very often. |

In all seriousness boy I grieve when I can't go home for Carnival. I don't miss Christmas quite as much because most of my family is here and outside of the Parang and the warm weather we can do a decent similation of Christmas home. But Carnival could only really be Carnival in Trinidad.

Having said this...we does take virtual food, drink and snacks. The official drink is johnny in all his colours - please refer to TS's questions, and the official food is anything that goes with johnny. lol.
like ah typical trini, ah say all dat and ent even answer yuh question nah, but i does never get sad cause i still living in sweet sweet trinidad (God i love this country!!) buh carnival doh bother meh (I does hadda work anyhows - probably the only people in d entire country) and wellllll with christmas, after ah done clean house and pack house and wash wares ah does be toooo tired to do anything else but sleep. lol
like every other trini 3am christmas morning does meet meh putting up curtains lol |

Trini christmas is nice..I does time my arrival to get away from helping my mother sew curtain and paint...why de hell we does have to do dat EVERY YEAR!! lol
Carnival on the other hand..I haven't experienced that since 1997 - you ever hear more madness? Ah think Stevie have me beat on that though. Ah aiming for 2008 though...Trini Revellers right folks?? |
