Of course they are. Cubans and Puerto Ricans both love life and love people....and they love diversity. The cultures and mentality are similar as well. Both Cubans and Puerto Ricans know how to have a good time and are lively when they are together with friends. They will for sure like you, especially if you are genuine and kind.

On my visits to Cuba I've met many Asians from Canada and you can rest assured you will be as warmly welcomed as a Caucasian. Cuba actually has a very large Chinese population and race is not an issue with Cubans.

penelope_pitstop
Cubans are generally friendly and warm people - i can't see why they would have a problem with you, are you a likeable person?? If the answers yes then you'll be fine :)

Havanalover
Cubans and Puertoricans are both kind and friendly people.

Cubans and Puerto Ricans are both nice nationalities and really nice people.Puerto Ricans are a little more hospitable and awesome partiers. While Cubans are still hospitable and stuff but they're not that much fun as Puerto Ricans. In Puerto Rico (at least) there are a lot of Asian people, precisely around the area of Aguadilla.Just like you'll see a bunch of Americans in Aguadilla and Rincon. They're nice, easy to live with people and hotels are awesome though careful with sunburns...sting like hell.

Yes, we are happy and very friendly people!!!

We, including myself are very friendly and familiar people as well as Puerto Ricans, so this means, if you are a likely person and like Family and friends, I can assure you will have e great time either in Cuba or Puerto Rico.
