If you are traveling by air, you will need a passport. If you go there by sea, you don't.

You can apply for a passport as soon as you know you're getting trip (congratulations!); if you expedite it, it will arrive in three weeks.

Yes..but it might not be too late. If you go to your nearest passport agency(Consulate)...not the post office. You will have to show them your itinerary and have them issue you the passport on the same day. However...bring two passport photos with you, and print out the documents that you get on the government site. Since today is Thursday Isuggest you call now...then show up at the passport office tomorrow ready to go.
If you don't unfortunately you don't go on your honeymoon.

Everyone should get a passport nowadays. Times are a changing and you will need one just to drive across both borders in the near future. So don't be stuck without one.
Lately it has been taking only 7 days if you apply for one without expediting.

Sorry to hear you might miss you honeymoon but congrats on the wedding anyway.

If you're Canadian you do NOT need a passport... a driver's license and birth certificate will do. U.S. is a little more tight assed with security so yes you will need one to get back into the states once you're in Jamaica.

Look up the Jamaican embassy in your country and give them a call. They'll tell you exactly what's needed instead of listening to people on the internet who might not know updated info.

Yes u most definetly do.

Jamaica is a FOREIGN COUNTRY and you need a passport to go to or return from a FOREIGN COUNTRY... so why would you not need a passport to go to Jamaica?

On the other hand, you do NOT need a passport to go to Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands... and it's a whole lot more enjoyable. I don't know what all this interest is in going to Jamaica... it must be all their commercials, because Jamaica is just about the WORST island in the Caribbean to go to... highest crime rate, most expensive to stay in or eat in, unfriendly locals... and that stupid GUN COURT where they take guns away from honest people so the thugs can have them to ROB YOU.
