"Peter"is correct...P.R.is PART of the U.S. and you do NOT need a passport. P.R. is a territory of the U.S., so it is a domestic flight. see site below and read the last line under the section titled LAND and SEA travel. |

I go to Puerto Rico roughly 4 times a year annd let me tell you that no you do not need a passport to enter the country since it is part of the U.S. as well as exiting when traveling by plane from The 50 states or the virgin islands however if you take a cruise that stops at an international port they will ask you for a passport or a Citizenship or resident card when you enter uerto Rico since right there you are rentering the U.S. Whenever I go to Puerto Rico I do take my passport every time since I fly as a Non rev and may have to connect through another country to fly back to Miami. So point being you do not have to take a passport but I highly recomend it. |

If flying from the US mainland, no. ...cuz you really haven't left the US. PR is a US territory....the flight is considered a domestic flight. |
