Yes i think you do cause we went to saint lucia and we needed them. Best to check with your gp.

Have a nice holiday

oh and you need to take them a certain period of time before you go i think it like six or eight weeks before

No, you do not need any injections to travel to the Caribbean. I have been there a few times as a child and never once needed to have any injection before travelling.

In more recent years my father has travelled to Barbados (his homeland) and has never needed any injections either.

Most Caribbean countries have good clean water supplies and i have never heard of anyone catching malaria whilst travelling anywhere in the Caribbean.

BTW - you really must pack lots of insect repellent when you travel, otherwise you are likely to get severely bitten by mosquito's.

And as for the guy who made that disgusting racist comment, get a life or better still a bit of education!

You don't need any injection...

Vaccinations

http://www.accessbarbados.com/barbados_travel_information.php

There are no specific Vaccinations required for visitors to Barbados. All travelers should be up to date on Routine Immunizations. Check with your personal physician 4 to 8 weeks before travel. Hepatitis A is usually recommended for all travelers and Hepatitis B for travelers who may have intimate contact with local residents, especially if visiting for more than 6 months.

There is no present risk of malaria in Barbados, therefore no preventative measures are required.

Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required from travelers, coming from infected areas. [-End]

However, if you require health coverage while in Barbados you should arrange that before you leave. Barbados has state sponsored healthcare for their citizens but it does not cover tourists...

There are some private hospitals in Barbados for tourists such Bayview Hospital...
