I know that Queens Park Oval is my second favourite spot to watch a cricket match, especially if it's the Windies. Brian Lara! Fish fry. It's where I think of everytime I hear Destra singing Carnival - even before I think of my own Carnival. Maxi Taxis! Best rotis I've ever had. Same with peanut punch. Limin. Fetes. Playing mas. There can never be too many beads on a Carnival costume? Somehow Trinis always seem to have stories about Canada, even if they "trini to the bone". haha, basically I love Trinidad, and I loved this question!

I was there last year summer i attended a seminar for three weeks, I stayed at ECIAF campus and attended the conference at COSTATT. I explored Trinidad i even went to a carnival road march in Arima. Trinidad is great oh and we also visited the Pitch lake where the tar is that was alot of fun. We may be back this year but i am not sure yet. TRINIDAD IS GREAT. the ppl r friendly 2.

Trinidad and Tobago is the 2nd to last country in the Caribbean chain, note I did not say island chain. Guyana which is the only English speaking country in the South America is considered to be part of the Caribbean.

TnT as it is popularly called is made of two island, the big island which is Trinidad and its small sister Tobago. The island is famous for many things, it has the 2nd biggest Carnival and that in Rio, it is the birth place of the last musical instrument to be invited in the 20th century - the steel band, the country has a good supply of oil and tar, they have some of the best soca/calypso music in the world - case in point the original version of the song "Who Let the Dogs Out" was done by someone from Trinidad. Plus their football/soccer team made it to the world cup.

The country is a mixture of African, East Indian and to a smaller extent Chinese.

Its a very small Country just off the NE shore of Venezuela.
Absolutely Beautiful and the people are wonderful.Hotel prices are decent but air prices and schedules are a little over the top.
If you have the $ and patience for flights absolutely worth the trip.

I married a trinni. I have a daughter and 5 grandsons in Port of Spain, Trinidad. I know it is a small island next a smaller island called Tobacco. Just Northeast of Venezuela. The people have a strange accent. Part British and a few other languages. have a very difficult time understanding my grandsons when we talk. The people are very friendly. In February they have Carnival. It is 10 times better than Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Carnival is way older than Mardi Gras. Their money is TT Dollars. It takes 10-12 TT's to make One US dollar. It is a tropical island. Temp always 75-82 degrees. 2 seasons; summer and hurricane season. Mt son-in law makes $60,000 TT a year. He is one of the richest men there. British Airways is the main airline there.
