Do you need a passport to travel from the US to Puerto Rico? How's the weather now? Exchange rate?

I want to fly there for a week by myself. I want to just chill on the beach, so I want to know about the weather...ect. San Juan is where I would go.

A valid driver's license is needed for traveling. It all depends where you want to stay.
If you are looking for great night life and a wonderful beach, I recommend staying in the Isla Verde area just 5 minutes away from the Airport and about 10 minutes away from Old San Juan. This area is about 35 - 40 minutes away from El Yunque Rain forest. Isla Verde Ave. is actually a a great place to stay with lots of hotels, bars, clubs and restaurants. One of the most famous night club is Brava, what use to be Club Babylon located in the El San Juan hotel and Casino. Open from Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

If you are looking for a more lay back hotel, there is the El Conquistador hotel and that's 45 min. depending on traffic. Its mainly located on a 500 acres of land on a cliff and since it does not have direct beach access it has a private beach called Palomino Island located 5 mins off the coast of PR, and they provide all the transportation to and from the beach and to and from the airport for $66 per person round trip.
Weather wise, Hurricane season just started until the end of November 30th but peak season here is late Aug. and the whole month in Sept. Low season rates are Aug. and Sept. If you do book a reservation and there is a Hurricane threat, most of the hotels allow cancelations without penalty. And we use american dollars.

Currently you do not. Puerto Rico is a Latin American nation with a Commonwealth status with the US since 1952. This status is not permanent and self determination is recognized.

The dollar is the currency of PR.

Average temperature in summer : 90 degrees in San Juan

Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States, so probably no passport required, but you should check with the airline when you get your ticket.

To travel to Puerto Rico you can use your US Driver's License.... this is going to change soon and then you will need a passport, but not so far...

The weather today in my town is nice... nice breaze...

In Puerto Rico we use USD so there is no exchange rate...

Hope you have fun ! !

Puerto Rico is colony of the U.S. so you need no passport if you're traveling from the US, the average weather is 75 degrees year long and there is no exchange rate since the US dollar is the national currency. Have fun!!! I lived there for several years and there's always alot of cool and interesting stuff going on.

Puerto Rico is a US Commonwealth. US citizens do not require passports or visas to travel there. A simple government issued photo ID, like a driver's license will suffice.

Puerto Rico's currency is the US Dollar. Todays exchange rate is $1.00 = $1.00.

Puerto Rico is part of the USA and as of today you can travel with a government issue ID but beginning Dec 2006/Jan 2007 the law requires you to travel with a passport when leaving the mainland.
