GYAL..she was VERY VERY irresponsible!! But the Media was irresponsible too..WHY would they cut to the TWO parties BEFORE they win! They suppose to find out the results..THEN CUT to the two parties! The JLP people say dem win 31-29 before EOJ even say so..(that is LEAKED information!)..and that must be what cause PORTIA to react...

But LIKE I SAID BEFORE..that's why she DON"T belong as PRIME MINISTER..cuz she CAN'T handle herself..she tink she some RUDEGIRL! I don't think she give ONE LICK about nobody in Jamaica..becuz uproars and riots will happen if she sitting there talking about voters like that.

Totally irresponsible. I am so glad someone felt the same way. I cannot believe whoever wrote her conceding speech let her say those "garrison" tactic speech. I would have loved for her to say things such as with a minority government it puts the onus on them as well to ensure that the platforms that were promised in the pre election will be carried out.

I do not live in Jamaica and was not able to exercise my franchise. however I listened to the blow by blow on 106 fm.
Persoanlly very happy she is not representing the home of my birth.

Well, first of all let me say i'm just absolutely thrilled that this hooligan that we called our prime minister is no more. I'm a 20 year old jamaican in New york and sadly, I didn't get to participate in the ousting of this abnoxious government. Portia is just an unintellectual individual who has a poor choice of words. She has no interest in quelling the tensions that exist on both sides of the divide, all interest was and still are,on winning. Hopefully Mr. Golding is sincere and dilivers on his promises cause I want to be home so bad, If jamaica has good governance who needs to immigrate. I'm glad most jamaicans are thinking nowadays.

I was offended that she went on to accuse people[presumably the EOJ] of being criminals.
I felt offended by her. No wonder she went from 78 percent popularity to 48.
Also most reported people who were wreaking havoc yesterday were from the PNP as in Joan Gordon-Webbley's complaint and the blue car, etc.

Of course it was irresponsible already shooting had started in my area and instead of trying to calm the people because she is STILL the Prime Minister UNTIL the first House is called she riled them more...basically saying the election was rigged...AS the Prime Minister she should have tried to calm the people..She could have caused politically anarchy in the country..with her statements..She really doesn't know who to lead..she must think say a war and dem things there help keep voters happy and keep PNP in power.

I wasn't there to hear the speech but if she said those things, she certainly would come across as petty and disingenuous. What else is new though? Haven't many of these leaders typically incited certain groups of, misinformed "emissaries," for lack of a better word, to tyrannize people into submission? Hopefully, people will see what a silly exercise this is and not give in to any of it.
