from mo bay to ochi takes two hours, the main road is getting better but in general the roads are really bad and quite an experiance,
the falls are really beautiful but very commercialised, but it is definately worth a visit,
if you are a bob marley fan then nine mile is a must, i get quite emotional when i go there,
for the best patties, then browns town is the place to go, they do patty in coco bread hmmm it is out of this world.
hope you enjoy your time there, but i am sure you will. IRIE. |

About 3 hours depending on the weather and traffic. The roads in Jamacia are very, very bad. Some of the biggest potholes in the world exist there.
Try Club Margurita located downtown Montego Bay, try a jamacian beef patti to while your there.
Eat all the jerk chicken you can possibly stand and make you sure to have a couple of Miami Vice drinks as well.
Stay away from the weed.................................WOW... |

I made that trip two years ago. The roads are very poor, although the road was under construction for improvement. Nonetheless, it's not like a US freeway, so plan on 2 hours. |

It takes about 2 hours. They are finishing up the new highway form MoBay to Ochi, so the time has gotten better. The roads in Ja are very poor. They are filled woth potholes and they are very narrow with big drops. If this is your first trip to Jamaica, please hire a driver.
The drive is worth going to Dunn's River. Don't take a bus like everyone else. Hire a driver so you can stop wherever you want. |

Ok, the road to Ocho Rios is in a fairly good condition. Therefore, it should take you no more than 2 hours. |

I landed at Montego Bay in 2005 and we had a minibus transfer to Ocho Rios. I seem to remember the journey took us about 3 hours - Dunn's River Falls was about 10 minutes before Ocho Rios.
They are in the process of building a new road between those points but when i went the good part was only about half the distance. Things should have improved since then so the journey time may be less.
Although Dunn's River Falls are fairly commercialised it is well worth the trip.
Have a great holiday and........Irie! |

When I was down there for my wedding, it took us almost 3 hours to get to the west side of Ocho Rios. Since Dunn's River is on the east side, I would guess that you are looking at a minimum of 2 hours at least. You know its a long drive when the hotel contracted charter bus stops for a bathroom break. |

I went into my yahoo search and typed Detailed road map of Jamaica. The second choice was just that. Giving you a map of Jamaica with scale included for mileage estimates.Safe trip! |
