Gustav really damaged Pinar del Rio, but the regarding the others we don't know.

Might be. Let's hope it does not

We are used to hurricanes. They are very common in the Caribbean. We don't have earthquakes, thank God

Hanna, at least last night, was above Dominican republic. We must watch it

We must keep watching. At the moment it does not seem so, but we must watch them in the next days

You must keep looking at this site http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/. Some islands have the misfortune to be included in the predicted path and Hanna is enormous. She hit our island (in the TCI) thirty six hours ago and is due back tonight. Ike is expected soon and if he follows the predicted course will pass over Cuba. Josephine remains an unknown factor. What you must remember is that even islands which are not going to be direct hits will be affected in terms of fierce rain and wind and thunderstorms and therefore one can say with certainty that Cuba will be affected, although to what degree remains to be seen. Having already suffered the ravages of Gustav, Cuba is vulnerable.

Hanna might be. It has been stationary. We enter in the most dangerous moths of the hurricane season.

By the way, english is not my native language. I think that instead of "if" it is better to use "whether" in this case, I think

not this

Hurricane Gustav caused widespread destruction of homes, schools, medical facilities, warehouses and infrastructure in Cuba's western province of Pinar del Rio and the Isle of Youth hit hardest by the storm

Hurricane Hanna is moving through the Caribbean but isn't affecting Cuba....well so far.

But as for the other ones forming, you won't know. You'd have to keep watching the news to be sure. The storms are forming fast and furious, one after the other.
But in Cuba, they take precautions quickly and are smart. People listen and take cover accordingly.

Hermes
What is this Cuba which you speak of? Oh. It must be that land mass, or build up of a mass of dirt that is the break-wall to the south east? Kind of like that land mass to the south?

Edit. I just decided that it was worth five points to say that there are apparently three people who cannot understand humor used to prove a point? Did they watch the clip from The Onion that I posted? The point that I implied is that not many will know about the hurricanes' affects upon places like Cuba (many won't even know where Cuba is located), because the media and other sources will often focus upon trivial issues, as opposed to covering anything about another nation that would give the answer as to whether hurricanes pose any real threat to any place like Cuba. They may show a quick clip, but then it is back to the other important issues like political sex scandals and celebrity relationships. If you want to know that, you have to search for it on your own, or you have to look at the radar/satellite information for the specific storm because they aren't going to do a thirty minute segment on what may, or may not hapen to Cuba. There is a saying that a picture is worth a thousand words. Maybe not. I must be too intelligent for Yahoo Answers?
