Yes the Paradisus(Sol Melia) is all inclusive, but there isn't much of a beach.
Personally I say you should stay in Dorado(about 40 minutes from San Juan) at the Embassy Suites. It is gorgeous with a nice private beach & a pool w/ bar & a lounge w/ live salsa bands playing. Its less than $200 a night for a suite w/ a balcony & AAA members get discounts. I stayed there & loved it. There is also a beautiful golf course on site. & this is a very upscale neighborhood. Please see below.
I also included a orbitz link that has vacation packages, hotel + flight. Or go to orbitz & click flexible dates for cheap airfare to SJU.

Hi,
The El paradisus is no longer all inclusive and it has now had a name change.
The Paradisus is no more it is now the Gran Melia Puerto Rico. See the site here. It is not 'all inclusive' but does offer some 'meal plans'
http://www.solmelia.com/solNew/hoteles/jsp/C_Hotel_Description.jsp?codigoHotel=5907
It switched from 'all inclusive' because it coyuld not compete with the likes of the Dominican Republic (much cheaper rates there)

El Conquistador is in Fayardo (about 1 hour away from San Juan) but it is lovely. The resort sits atop a hill, overlooking the harbor but you take a boat from there to a little island where the beach is located. It's worth the trip. |

Puerto Rico is not the place for all inclusive resort but you can go on an all inclusive cruse from PR port. Consider the option, it is really good and you would have different Caribbean islands to see including PR. |

Off topic and i apologize, but el conquistador hotel is the best hotel to stay in San Juan, in terms of resorts though im not sure... Try calling a cruise lien company and asking... Good luck! |
