Puerto Rico- IS AMERICA, YES AMERICA! They speak Spanish mainly but A LOT of people do speak English espcially around resort areas.

Yes, Spanish is the principle language of the Dominican Republic. Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States. Puerto Rico's principle languages are English and Spanish. It is not a sovereign nation. When you travel to the Dominican Republic, you will find that most employees at resorts and vacation destinations do speak some English.
