KIESH....Oh gosh dodo. Yuh ain't go home in ah long time? The sole purpose of Paranging somebody house is to get them up and eat and drink them out. You don't have to bring food. That defeats the purpose....Julien we Paranging KIESH' first..

If ah parang yuh house on Christmas morning at 4:00 a.m. well ah better get some homemade bread and ham (or in your case, turkey), some sorrel to wash it down and black cake (infused with Johnny) for dessert (and that's before breakfast my dear)
If ah parang before Dec. 25th I expect a a good tongue-lashing or some homemade wine if yuh now retuning from a Parang Lime! |

True I have not spent a Chistmas in Trinidad in ages but Parang or not I never go to anybody's house empty handed during the holidays, I always have a bottle of something, cake, cookies etc. So if you bold enough to go somebody house 4 in the morn parangin atleast yuh could bring breakfast. My family used to only do it at night and now everyone so Americanized they don't even do it any more. My cousins in Trinidad not studying parang. :( |
