My fiancee and I are considering a wedding/honeymoon in Jamaica. Have you been? If so, would you reccommend it?

I went last year for the first time. I have been to many places and i was surprised at how much i loved jamaica! it really is very beautiful and safer than ever before. It really depends on where you stay that makes the vacation there though. Negril is more of a party area, more crazy and lively at night. That may be for you but everyone told me it isnt the safest area. I stayed in montego bay and it is gorgeous. I think it would make for a much more romantic and relaxing honeymooon. There are still places to travel to there of course, but i think it would def be much more of what you are looking for. Pick a nice resort there and you'll never want to leave! I hope you and your fiance have an amazing honeymoon wherever you go, but if you choose Jamaica I doubt you'll be dissapointed. |

We have been to Jamacia and stayed at the Sunset Beach Resort. It was beautiful. The people were very kind, the pools were great. If you like to have red meat at your meals, there won't be any of that but other then that I would go back in a heart beat. Hope this helps!! |

I love Jamaica. My favorite places are Negril and Port Antonio. Negril is having the most beautifull beach and relaxed coutry style atmosphere plus lots of nightlife and activities. I love it much more then busy cities MoBay and Ochi. Port Antonio is a secluded place for extremely romantic and private vacation. Nightlife is easy to reach in Kingston.

Zone 3 boy, most of real dancehall parties are located in shady looking places. Like Passa Passa is in Tivoli Gardens which is a real ghetto neighbourhood. |

I would definately recommend Jamaica. I think it would prove to be a great experience for you and your fiance. You can visit the various beaches and just relax and be pampered by the friendly staff at your hotel. Sunset Beach Resort or Sandals is great. I suggest you stay in Montego Bay that has a variety of clubs, beaches and great sites. |

Jamaica is beautiful. You have made a very good choice to consider getting married there. I have lived here for 20 years and I work in the tourist industry and the people just love it. And to prove it, Jamaica is ranked #1 out of all the Caribbean destinations in the region. We have also been rated #1 as having:
- the friendliest people
- the best local food
- the best honeymoon vacation
- the best Caribbean airline
- the best all-inclusive hotels
- the best natural life
- the best spas
- the best nightlife
Trust me, you need to come here and experience it for yourself. Just go on any vacation website and read reviews of real people about their vacation here. You will enjoy your wedding and honeymoon to the max - that's guaranteed :) |

We all know by your previous posts that the bastard is an irrational jerk who doesnt deserve you, so Jamaica should be postponed ASAP! |

Its nice, but kingston has a very high murder rate....i read about it on several websites.
if your going around the country, just be careful and dont go into shady lookin places....
if i were in jamaica, i would be going to those dancehall parties lol.
