Family Vacation?

Looking for a great place to take a family vacation in the carribean. Want it to be someplace that is fun, safe, has lots of great things to do and is a good place to take the kids. We love going to the beach, but want to make sure that we are not taking our kids to any beaches where there will be nudity or anything.

Dominican Republic, Puerto Plata has what you are looking for. nice night life, affortable prices, beaches, resorts, cable cars, water parks, golf, horse riding etc.
Punta cana nice beaches and resorts nice to relax.

Good luck!!

Jamaica is the best. It has a rich culture and some very lovely people, the kids can choose from lots of beaches, dolphin cove Dunns River falls etc, no nudity. Just make sure you stay anywhere along the north coast specifically Runaway Bay, Mammee Bay or Ocho Rios so you are close to everything.

If you choose jamaica make sure you try jerk (anything).

I would suggest Curacao.
You'll find many excellent beaches there, great restaurants, and most of all, plenty of places to take the kids. A Sea Aquarium, an Ostrich Farm, a Fish Farm, National park with hiking trails, boat trips to the off shore island, plenty of museums and just loads of great places to see.
Although you won't be seeing it everywhere or anytime at the beaches, there is the chance that you might find a couple of topless tourists here and there at some of the beaches though, just so you know.

I'm not sure if you're from the U.S. (although you can work your way around it but may be difficult) but if not, then I would suggest Cuba. Cayo Coco is a beautiful area and there are many family resorts there. Hotel Tryp Cayo Coco is a fabulous resort....great for all ages but is kid-friendly. There is no nudity on the beach there....although mostly everywhere you go these days you will find some go topless. However, nobody seems to flaunt it there. There are a lot of families that travel there, so it's rather decent. The beach, pool and resort activities are full and fun. The Entertainment Team will always keep you happy and busy...and if you want to relax, easy to do without any interferance. Awesome day trips as well. The food is great and a lot of variety, the rooms are nice and they're clean, as well as the whole resort.
And it's very safe there.
Take a look at the links if it interests you.
Hope that was helpful for you.

ST. KITTS
Five Stars!!!!
Trust me you can't go wrong with St. kitts
The Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis (also known as the Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis [1]), located in the Leeward Islands, is a federal two-island nation in the West Indies. It is the smallest nation in the Americas in both area and population.

If you are other than American, Cuba has tons of stuff for the whole family. There are great beaches, friendly people and of course a fascinating history. Take a look at the sites below, they may give you some ideas. Wherever you go enjoy your vacation.

Try this site: iBtraveling.com You should find something there. CheapCarribean has lot to choose from too. I'd suggest a cruise since it'll be cheaper and you can try out a few different islands, so on your next vacation you can try a resort on the island you liked best. Carnival is fun for all age groups.

Also with a cruise, you can head to a beach each day you're on an island. Just buy your snorkel gear here and hop in a taxi. Ask the man to take you to the best snorkeling beach on the island and he'll pick you up on time too. They need the money and they're happy to help.

My brother went to Costa Rica on his honeymoon and they had a ball! They said they would definately take the kids back one day.
They woke up to monkeys sitting on the porch on their "hut" each morning. They did the zip line through the canopy and said it was some of the most fun they have ever had.
They also did horseback riding and an ATV ride through the island.
The beaches were beautiful and safe and the people extra friendly.
Talking about it makes me want to plan a trip! :o)
