So we're looking at places to go in the Bahamas for summer vacation. Any recommendations?
There are so many islands to discover in The Bahamas other than the capital Nassau:
Abaco
Eleuthera, Harbour Island I would recommend the Pink Sands Hotel
Exuma- the Four Seasons

Freeport Grand Bahama - Westin

Freeport Bahamas all the way.......u will love it there. Beautiful beaches, friendly people, AWESOME food and amazing sites. Nassau is more for partying, but freeport has a mixture of party, shopping, food, drinks everything. I love nassau, but can never trade freeport for it. I go to Freeport 3 times per year.

Hope Town, Abaco Bahamas is the perfect place to visit. It is a beautiful island in the Abaco chain of Islands. Hope Town is best known for it's quaintness, friendly people, and a candy stripped lighhouse on Elbow Cay.

My favorite part of the Bahamas was snorkeling at Deadman's Reef on Freeport Island. Freeport is less crowded than Nassau, but has more to offer than some of the other islands. If you want to party, go to Nassau. If you want to relax and have options for entertainment, go to Freeport.

I like Abaco and I love Harbour Island. Both Islands are small and the people are very friendly.
If you like the hustle and bustle of town then Nassau/Parasdise Island is the place for you.
